List marketing training is an exceptionally profitable strategy for building an online income. It incorporates the of link exchanging, the customer service of membership sites and the skills of article writing. Let’s assume that you already have a background on and you have a grasp on what list marketing is all about. But, like most list builders, you have never seen a profit that is worth all of the time that you have put into building and maintaining your list. Let’s talk about a simple step that you can take to double your sales. Before we can tackle that, we need to understand why most list marketers fail.

What Goes Wrong For Most List Marketers?
There are some common problems that most list builders eventually run into. But, the biggest problem, the problem that will kill over half of your potential sales, is that your list is probably too bored to react to your messages. Take a moment to think about this: Are the people on your marketing list even reading your messages? Are you wasting your time? Are you sending out message after message, not realizing that these attempts are being written off even before your potential customers read them?

I hate to be the one to tell you, but over three fourths of your messages are probably not looked at, probably not even glanced at. This, obviously, will stop almost all sales and profit. Why does this happen? It’s because you may not have established yourself right off the bat. As soon as someone subscribes to your list, you need to establish your credibility and your reputation right away, and I mean RIGHT AWAY! If you don’t grab their attention in the first message or maybe the second, if you’re lucky, they’re practically gone for good. You might as well burn their name off of your list, because they won’t take the time out of their day to read your marketing message. They have better things to do.

How do you stop your subscribers from getting to bored to take action when you want them to? How do you establish credibility and reputation and double your sales? The answer is easy, sell yourself! Literally! Well technically I guess.

The best way to ensure that your subscribers will keep opening every e-mail marketing message that you send out is to sell to them in your first e-mail message. Offer them a product that you have created. This establishes you as an authority in the eyes of your subscribers. Based on simple algebra, we can assume that most of your subscribers have not created their own product. If your subscribers see you as an authority, they will keep on opening every marketing message that they see your name on. So, offer your own product to them at a “discounted” price! Make it a special reward for subscribing! Now they’re in your club, you offered them a discount. And those sales will be pure profit since you didn’t have to purchase the product in the first place.

Well, that can be quickly and easily remedied. The easiest way to create your own product is to create an e-book. It can be about anything! Anything that you know about. Make it relevant to your list for the best results. If you’re still stuck, there are tons of articles to help you get started on your own e-book. Believe me, if you spend a few hours researching a topic, you will be able to find enough information to get your going.

This one step will establish your credibility to your list of subscribers, and keep them coming back to your marketing messages. It’s a great way to basically double your sales!
