Alexa is a website that provides useful information about the traffic to websites. The most well known feature is the Alexa Web Rank which provides insight into how sites compare to others in terms of their traffic.

Alexa Web Rank is not perfect but it does provide some useful insights and many businesses make decisions about advertising and site sale/purchase values based, in part, upon a site’s Alexa Ranking.
