List Building With a Blog

If you work online, then chances are good that you know the incredible power of having your own list of e-mail addresses.  If you have ever built a list of the e-mail addresses of your potential customers, then you understand that you are able to market to that list over and over again, often with great results.  But, there’s also a good chance that you understand that it is difficult and time consuming to build your own list.  A great way to start gathering e-mail addresses of potential customers is by getting Opt-In subscribers from a blog.

Blogs are a great way to start up a nice looking website with barely any hard work at all.  Blog software is available in many places for absolutely no cost and it will basically guide you through the steps that you need to get your website up and running.  You can update it very easily, and there also many options that you can use to customize it to make it completely your own.  If you have your own web space, you can download the blogging software and then upload it to your web server to host your own blog.  If you do not have any web space of your own, you can still start a blog.  You just need to visit a free blogging website.

So, how can you start getting Opt-In subscribers from a blog?  Well first, you will need an e-mail list manager.  This is a service that will allow you to store e-mail addresses in lists and send messages out to all of them at once.  If you have already been involved with list building, then you probably have some experience with an e-mail list managing service.  Your list managing service should be able to provide you with what is called an Opt-In form.  You can place this Opt-In form on your blog.  Most of the time, you’ll want to put the form along the right side, or even in the right hand top corner.

You can advertise to your visitors that they will receive a free gift once they sign up for your e-mail list.  You can put a message right above your Opt-In form.  Tell your visitors exactly what they will be getting as their free gift.  Then, once they sign up for your list through the Opt-In form, you can have an auto responding message set up to send them a link to their free gift.  They can download it right away.  They will have free gift, and you will have a new Opt-In subscriber.

Getting Opt-In subscribers from a blog is quite simple.  Once you have your Opt-In form and free gift setup, you just need to send as many people as you can to your blog.  There are tons of ways to get a massive amount of free traffic to your blog, so start educating yourself and you can really get some great results.
